Knowledge Sharing Festival
Now in its second year, the Cape Winelands Knowledge Sharing Festival was once again a resounding success.
An initiative of the community broadcaster KC107.7, the Cape Winelands Knowledge Sharing Festival (CWKSF) provided a platform where experts from various sectors gathered to share knowledge and new, practical solutions for solving challenges in education, governance, and skills development.
Key Focus Points:
- Youth opportunities.
- Innovation.
- Building sustainable communities.
CWKSF kicked off with a CEO Dinner, hosted on 10 March 2025, where leaders connected and pledged their support for positive change. In various sessions held on 11 March 2025, participants engaged with 12 case studies where they could ask questions and partake in compelling discussions. The presentations showed how small changes can lead to big impact.
Well Represented
Representing the MICT SETA at CWKSF, Sector Skills Planning Senior Manager Bontle Mokoena highlighted the importance of a data driven approach in identifying high demand occupations and addressing sector needs. "The future of the MICT sector lies in our ability to adapt to change, embrace innovation, and empower individuals with the skills they need to thrive," shared Mokoena. This approach aims to bridge the gap between skills supply and national growth objectives, fostering an ecosystem where industry-aligned skills development drives economic and digital transformation.
