Real Skills. Real Experience. Real Impact.

Film & Television Learnership Lights Up Learners' Futures
A recent success story is the NQF Level 5 Film and Television Production Learnership, a dynamic programme that not only provided technical training but also immersed young talent in real-world media production environments.
This Film and Television Production Learnership delivered by Sentorburg Consulting and Vuthlari Marketing was yet another effort, by the MICT SETA, to curate industry-relevant programmes that acknowledge the demands of the digital economy.
Onwards and Upwards
Funded by the MICT SETA, this learnership was led by Sentorburg Consulting, in partnership with accredited training provider Vuthlari Marketing Consulting. It empowered 25 young learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the film and television industry. The initiative demonstrates the SETA's commitment to creating industry-aligned, fit-for-purpose programmes that empower youth and respond to the demands of the digital economy.
One of the most outstanding aspects of this programme was a strategic collaboration with Renault South Africa, giving learners a unique opportunity to apply their learning in a professional, high-performance environment. Learners participated in a competitive marketing campaign, producing broadcast-quality television commercials for the Renault KWID brand.
Impacting Lives
Beyond the awards and accolades, the true impact of this programme is evident in the lives it changed. Many graduates have since secured placements and freelance opportunities in film, television, and digital content creation. The learnership didn't just teach skills, it launched careers.
This project serves as a clear example of how the MICT SETA, through industry collaboration and targeted funding, is fulfilling its mandate while also shaping the future of media in South Africa. It stands as a reminder that when education, skills development providers, and industry come together, young people thrive.
