New National Skills Authority Board members bring fresh perspectives and expertise

NSA Board Induction Ceremony

NSA Board Welcome

In a proud moment for the MICT SETA, we had the honour of hosting the official induction ceremony of the sixth Board of the National Skills Authority (NSA). Officiated by the Honourable former Minister of Higher Education and Training Dr Nobuhle Pamela Nkabane, the induction marks a pivotal milestone in South Africa's efforts to build an inclusive, skills-driven economy.

The programme focused on orienting newly appointed Board members on the NSA's legislative mandate and strategic priorities. It underscored the role the NSA plays in shaping national skills development pathways and highlighted the need for agile, accountable, and inclusive governance.

The new Board reflects the diversity of our nation – rich in expertise and proudly led by a young female Chairperson who embodies the promise of transformative leadership.

In her keynote address, Former Minister Nkabane reaffirmed the critical purpose of SETAs: to equip South Africans, particularly the youth, with relevant skills aligned with labour market demands.

We extend our congratulations to the NSA Board and remain steadfast in our commitment to driving strategic alignment and strengthening the skills development ecosystem.
